helping you feel at home

If you are studying with us at undergraduate level, during the application process you can opt-in to Nexus ICA organised housing.

We have a longstanding relationship with local landlords, who provide us with high quality, local student accommodation.

Nexus ICA undergraduate students are placed in houses with 3-5 other students of the same gender. Our houses are:

  • Terraced or semi-detached.
  • Within a 30 minute walk of Nexus ICA.
  • Fully furnished, including all large items of furniture, white goods, cutlery, crockery, pots and pans. Students will need to bring their own bedding (duvet, pillows and linen).

Each student has their own personal room with the following furniture:

  • Bed
  • Wardrobe
  • Chest of drawers
  • Desk and chair

All other areas of the house are shared with fellow housemates. All Nexus ICA accommodation meets fire and safety regulations.

Rent is approximately £415 per month over a ten and a half month contract running mid-September to the end of July. This is payable in advance by standing order. Currently, rent includes all household bills.

We advise that students budget around £80 per month for food (this will vary individually).

All students are exempt from paying council tax and the council will be contacted on behalf of our students.

Housing allocations are assigned by our admissions team at the end of August/beginning of September each year. This is when students will receive specific details for their accommodation of their address and their landlord’s contact information.

Landlords will send a copy of a tenancy agreement and inventory of the house to be checked by students before signing. Please note: the tenancy agreement is between the landlord and the student.

Students will move into their accommodation the week before our Reception Day. Due to the volume of students in each house, in most cases a schedule will need to be in place with designated move-in times. We ask that you do not make any travel arrangements before receiving information from landlords. If you need to make travel arrangements in advance, please do contact us.
