So, there it is folks. 100k. four days. one purpose.
It has been challenging, exciting, exhausting, and beautiful all at the same time.
Our last day in the Peak District saw misty mountains and muddy marching as our walkers completed their final 25k, finishing with a picnic in the grounds of the famous Chatsworth House. Met by cheering support teams, proud parents, and friends, and two very happy canine companions (shoutout to Pepper and Georgie), Nexus ICA’s 2023 RAG Week Challenge came to an end.
So apart from mastering the roll matt sleep, discovering the enjoyment of a saltwater soak after a long hike, and taking hundreds of photos, what have we taken from this week?
We have seen the beauty of creation.
We have been reminded the strength in teamwork.
We have been encouraged by the support of those around us, in prayer, in financial aid, and in time sacrificed to keep us going.
But most importantly, we have, with your help, taken another huge step forward in the work God has called us to do.
For 25 years, Nexus ICA has been equipping and transforming the lives of those in pursuit of heavenly callings on their life. With the support we have been given thus far, and our ongoing trust in the provision of the Lord, we can walk on as one community, stirring up the rejoicing as we go.
