The Impact of your donations

2022
Supporters raised over £2000 in just two and half weeks redecorate our reception area. The funds were used for a new carpet, a Nexus ICA welcome mat, repainting, and adding plants to the area.
2019
Replacing the original, 20 year old Nexus ICA sign on the front of our building – Astoria House – was made possible by a generous, Coventry based family.
2016
Some of the funds raised during 2016’s Raising and Giving Week paid for our Mac Lab. It has become an indispensable resource for our students, particularly since the introduction of new degree and masters courses.
2009
In 2009, because of the generosity of many alumni and partners we were able to raise money to replace our front steps.

Nexus ICA played such a significant part of both my musical and spiritual journey and I'm still so grateful to God for all that was sewn into my life during the few years I spent there. So I give partly as an expression of my thanks, but also because it's a small way I can contribute to the amazing work continuing in the lives of others!

As parents and in-laws of 4 Nexus graduates, we have seen first-hand the amazing impact studying at Nexus has on students, producing well-rounded and educated young people with a firm, life-changing faith in Jesus. For this reason we see it as a very worthy investment.

Storm and I believe in sowing into causes that advance the kingdom of God. My time at Nexus ICA improved my understanding of God, worship and music. Nexus is equipping the body of Christ with worshippers who know how to worship in Spirit and in truth. We feel privileged to be part of that mission.

Janis Wilby
I support Nexus ICA because I have seen the transformation God can do in a young person's life if they make the most of the opportunities given to them while studying there. There is nowhere else like it so I'm happy to invest time, prayer and finance to enable more young people to thrive and grow in their faith.

Meet OUR PATRONS

Partner with us in our work.

Nexus ICA Patrons are a group of individuals, couples and churches who have committed to support the work of Nexus ICA financially, prayerfully and through other means. Nexus ICA is only able to continue its work through the generosity of our Patrons. The financial support of Patrons supplements the amount that students pay. This allows us to keep our fees at a realistic level, enabling more students to study with us.

We aim to involve our Patrons in the life of the school through regular updates, events and meetings.

If you would like to find out more about becoming a Nexus ICA Patron, please email us via the Contact Us page or fill in the form via the link below.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find out more about giving to Nexus

100% of the donations Nexus receives go a number of current financial needs. These include:

  • COVID financial recovery
  • Increasing our reserve funds
  • Building maintenance
  • Equipment and resources
  • Marketing
  • Staffing costs
  • 10% will be assigned to our bursary fund

Over time, we also plan to increase our spending on developing new and existing courses, and on student experiences.

We are funded by tuition fees and donations from our financial partners. We also have some income from hiring the building out externally.

Nexus ICA is not alone in requiring donations – most higher-level educational institutes and universities rely on philanthropic giving to some degree. In the 2015-2016, philanthropic giving for universities hit the £1 billion mark with most received by Russell Group Universities with Oxbridge Colleges receiving almost half.

This is not currently an option as we aim to recover financially from the effects of Covid. However, this is being considered for the future and financial partners will be updated

Gift Aid is a scheme available to charities and Community Amateur Sports Clubs (CASCs). It means they can claim extra money from HMRC.
The charity or CASC can claim an extra 25p for every £1 you donate. That’s as long as you’ve paid the basic rate of tax and make the donation from your own funds. That means Gift Aid can increase the value of your donations by 25%, so you can give even more to the causes you care about.

Gift Aid is important for charities, and means millions of pounds extra go to the charity sector. Each time an eligible tax payer donates and forgets to tick the Gift Aid box, the charity misses out.
